The Team and the Service we Provide

Our established team is qualified to offer both counselling & psychotherapy. Although there is little agreement as to what the difference is between the two, we use the term counselling to refer to shorter term work and psychotherapy for longer term encounters.

The first step in the process is to contact Damian White at the service to arrange an initial consultation. This will last for 50 minutes and is free of charge. This appointment enables you to talk about what has brought you to the service, what you hope to achieve, as well as clarifying any questions or concerns you may have. It also gives us the chance to consider and negotiate with you what sort of approach may be most appropriate for your specific needs so that we can work towards offering the best possible service.

If you decide you would like to begin counselling/psychotherapy sessions, an appointment will be made with your therapist at a time that is mutually convenient. In general sessions last 50 minutes and occur once a week.
